I think you should go and talk to her, explain that you had done it, and that someone said not to hand it in. See what she says, don't push it, but if she does say no, say that you were happy with your high mark, and want it to stay high and is there anything extra credit you can do to make up the marks? If she still says no, leave it alone, it's only going to annoy her if you keep bugging her about it. 92 is still pretty good.
