Could the universe be an infinite space of infinite structures?

Space is infinite. Space can travel at speeds faster than the speed of light. The matter that is in our universe on the other hand, cannot go faster than the speed of light and is not infinite. All the matter and energy you see in the known universe has always been there, only in a preexisting more simple form. Like Stars, they turn hydrogen and helium into more complex heavy elements. When they explode, these elements get released along with may new ones.
