What is college like?

Well I've been in college for about 5 years now and it takes really hard work and dedication. I am an engineering student so they push us as hard as they can. When I went in, they said "welcome to engineering where you will experience blood, sweat, and tears" and I can honestly say its true. The other classes like history, political science, english were not that challenging but you do have to study. If you're used to studying a lot then you'll be more than fine. And Yes I get loads of homework! I think it also has to do with your major as well. I'm going to be an engineer so we need to be very acurate because we are the creators of technology. So I am always busy but I know it'll pay off in the end. Some professors don't require homeworks or even have quizes so all you have to rely on is 3 exams and the final. Some professors do require homework as a grade and some give quizes. But it depends on the professor. Oh and be ready to work in groups! I think you'll be fine as long as you don't slack off. You should form study groups! So try to make friends.The semesters go by REALLY fast, you'll see. But I'd say don't be nervous, my best year was my first =)
